As some might guess and most won’t; my name Andamo (yes it was given to me by my father) is from a CBS TV series called Mr. Lucky. Ross Martin played the character Andamo in the series. The original movie filmed in 1943 stared Gary Grant.

A little family story is that when I was born and my father’s mother asked my name and my father said Andamo my grandmother yelled “WHAT!” and was dismayed. Now I loved my grandmother but to be honest she was not the brightest person from Missouri (scary) and she really didn’t have a lot to talk about since her name was Minnie (I guess it’s a good southern name) and one sisters name was Ora and the other sister Mayra was married to Oral. At least Andamo broke that scary southern naming convention.
